What is the building capacity?

We can hold 175 in the barn comfortably.

What dates are available?

Do I need to schedule a tour or can I just stop by?

All tours are by appointment only. You can submit a Request to Tour form here.

Is there a food and beverage, or guest count minimum?

No.

Do we have to utilize your caterers and bar service?

You have the option to chose a caterer of your choice and we can help you with recommendations. You can serve wine and beer, but you cannot sell it.  

Are there overnight accommodations nearby?

Our Farmhouse sleeps up to 12 people and can be seen here. The Holiday Inn is just 3 miles away and you can check local Airbnb listings.  

How many cars will your parking lot accommodate?

There is plenty of parking! Approximately 50 cars can park in the gravel parking lot. Overflow parking will be directed to the large field behind the barn. 

Do you offer straight tables instead of round?

We have twenty 8ft rectangular tables and ten 8ft round tables that seat up to 8 each. We have 4 farmhouse style tables (no tablecloth needed, X style legs), and buffet tables, and a 10ft custom made bar.

Do you provided table cloths?

Yes! White table to floor tablecloths are included with your rental.  

What happens in case of rain?

We have a backup plan! We can assist you in moving your ceremony into the bar in the event of inclement weather. 

We plan to have our ceremony offsite. Does your fee change?

No, the fee is the same. 

Do you allow dogs onsite to play a part in our wedding day?

Absolutely! 

What form of payment does Red Gate Farm accept?

Check, money order, cashiers check, or cash. No PayPal. 

Where can I find pictures of the decor available?

What time will I have access to the venue to decorate?

Starting at 9 am on the day specified in your contract.

Do you include a "wedding day coordinator?"

We understand how hectic a wedding day can be. One of our team members will be present during your wedding to help with things like guiding and greeting guests, helping serve, keeping trash cans empty, cleaning up as needed, essentially helping your day to run as smoothly as possible.  

Does Red Gate Farm handle the catering orders, or do I work with the caterer directly?

You will choose and work with the caterer of your choice directly.

How will the tables, chairs, etc. be arranged for my sized event?

We will discuss seating options well before your event so that tables can be arranged and ready for you when you come to decorate.

Can vehicles be left overnight?

Vehicles can be left overnight and Red Gate Farm is not responsible for vehicles left unattended. 

What time does the music need to end?

11:30 pm

How do I obtain a marriage license?

You will need to contact a KY County Clerk’s office such as Greenup, Lewis, or other county.

Are outside snacks and trays permitted?

Of course. 

Can we take engagement photos at the farm?

Of course! We have many areas for gorgeous photo opportunities. 

Can we nail decorations to the walls or hang things?

No nails or staples. Only tape and tacks may be used. Please see owners if you have a special requests.
